Over the past two years, persistent rumors and misinformation have surrounded Termicoat® and its application in the pre-construction industry. These claims, primarily stemming from pest control companies unable to access Termicoat, require clarification.

Key Advantages of Termicoat® for Builders

Builders adopting Termicoat gain several advantages over traditional sheeting systems:

• Cost Savings:
  Avoid additional charges from pest companies required to repair damaged systems.

• Improved Workflow:
  Eliminate delays caused by poorly installed or damaged sheeting systems from other trades.

• NCC 2022 & 2025 Compliance:
  Prevent potential non-compliance due to sheeting systems that fail to protrude through brick walls, as mandated by the National Construction Code (NCC) 2022 & 2025.

• Inspection Assurance:
  Avoid private building inspectors flagging non-compliance issues when pest management systems do not meet brickwork installation requirements.

Misconceptions About Termicoat® and Codemark Certification 

To clarify, Codemark certification, while optional, is not a requirement for compliance. Termicoat is fully compliant with NCC 2022 & 2025 standards, making Codemark certification redundant for our product. Compliance is not established by the certification itself but is a prerequisite for receiving it.
